Head of Finance & Operations

Singapore

We are seeking a professional to join as Head of Finance and Operations. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 year of relevant professional experience and is keen to build a rewarding long-term career in the private equity industry and be part of a team of professionals who is focusing on creating impactful and sustainable investments in Southeast Asia. The role will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Duties and responsibilities:

Finance & Tax management for the Company and investment entities including:

  • Budgeting and management reporting

  • Financial and internal controls

  • Maintenance of proper and accurate corporate records documentations, and filing system

  • Support the conduct of audit, tax and GST filing

  • Organize annual general meetings for the Company and fund entities

Fund Management & Operations:

  • Setting up and maintenance of fund entities including SPV and VCC sub funds, limited partnership

  • Supervise and manage vendors and service providers including compliance, accounting service provider, fund administrator, corporate secretariat agents, tax and legal advisors to ensure the efficient provision of services at reasonable costs

  • Support investors’ relations management through timely dissemination of information to investors and responding to their queries

  • Oversight on human resource policies and practices so that they meet regulatory and statutory requirements

  • Manage and supervise service providers such as Landlord, IT outsourcing, website developers, consultants, etc

  • Manage and supervise admin and support staff

  • Perform daily accounting tasks including arranging payments to vendors, overseas and local expenses staff claims, billing of invoices, preparing vouchers, journal entries in timely manner.

  • Liaise with various parties for reports/surveys, e.g. bankers, external auditors, tax advisors/agents, company secretary, fund administrators and other statutory bodies/government authorities as necessary

  • Prepare month-end closing including preparing accounts schedules, bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations and management reporting

  • Prepare quarterly GST submissions

  • Support year end closing and audit

  • Manage general office finance & admin/operations duties

  • Assist in various ad-hoc special projects and initiatives

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Maintain the company’s compliance and risk management framework and policies so that they are in line with the regulatory framework and regulations. Acts as the official compliance officer of the Company.

  • Implementation of compliance & risk control

  • Due diligence procedures on investors and portfolio companies

  • To ensure compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations

  • Management of non-trading list

  • Internal audit

  • Statutory and regulatory reporting

  • Support communication with the Monetary Authority of Singapore

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualifications in accounting or finance

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

  • Well organized, logical and meticulous with strong attention to details, discreet

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment similar to that of a start-up

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Self-starter, responsible, reliable, quick learner, team player and able to work independently

  • Team player with initiative, willingness to learn

  • Candidates with relevant prior work experience from asset management firms, family offices or private equity firms will be viewed favourably

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred

  • Remunerations will commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience
